The Fields of Dagail
The Fields of Dagail are an expanse of rolling plains populated by independent homesteaders of a similar culture to the population of the five City-States. Many great battles have been fought here over the years.
The land takes its name from a powerful circle of druids who are venerated by the local people and who prevent the land from being abused. Dagail herself was the arch-druid (circa -74 FC), and is famous for having led a defense of the fields against attempted incursions by the Remaic Empire. Although eventually defeated and crucified as a rebel, her actions exacerbated the decline of the Empire and she became a martyr for many other dissidents.
